Red dust on wednesday

It was weird to wake up and see the world is all red coloured. Big winds had brought dust from inland and dumped it over everything. Still windy with a little bit of rain. I hadnt posted for ages then did but cause my sister is home for a holiday. she is nursing in the middle east so i write to her first then I dont blog so much. She got sick yesterday but travelling when rammadam and eid is on so many people mixed together, like a big germ fest. Or I could have given it to her, nursed a girl with DnotV and lots of wards affected at work. I havent felt too flash either but that could be just night duty. Better go check the ASX it kind of flat after the big run ups that I missed of course.

yes, night duty gives me the shits too and l got 50% of nights in a month which is petty foul...anyway, what can we do?? maybe we can get nathan rees(NSW) or john brumby(VIC) to do a couple night shift for us that might help our course!!haha

I am really over night duty especially as the case that the NSWs nurses union just fought failed to get an increase in loading. They were trying to get an increase on the basis of the damage night duty does to health but the judges said there wasnt conclusive evidence. google NSW nurses union night payments, they have a link to the judgement. I dont think anything makes you feel as crap as night duty and it does nothing for your career either. Dayshift seem to regard night duty as doing nothing. Dont stay on it, do you really have to do 1/2 your roster on it?
